Delicious pastries packed with sugar. Tons of selection, especially if you like chocolate. Ordered a cake for the party and it was excellent!

Stopped in to grab a couple of pastries and was quite happy with the quality! We had some of the famous hot chocolate (decadently rich), a pain au chocolat, a raspberry mousse cake, and a mille feuille. The pain au chocolat was good--not the best I've ever had, but certainly a good option with decent flakiness, good chocolate content, and not too dry/soggy. We also really liked the mille feuille and the raspberry mousse! I've been to the original Paris location and while I do think the Paris location has slightly fresher pastries, this is definitely a decent substitute if you can't make it to France!

The hot chocolate was delicious! 10/10 thick & creamy and not too sweet. We grabbed it to go because the menu didn't look that great and if you want to sit in the restaurant there is a certain limit per person and or one entree has to be ordered. Just grab the hot chocolate and sweet treats and go!

The hot chocolate here is DELICIOUS and worth the hype. It's a bit pricey at around $8 but it was so good it was worth it. The drink was thick and hot. I didn't think it was too sweet considering what other reviewers have mentioned and I thought the small size was the perfect amount for one person (with a sweet tooth). Walking around the bryant park area with this in hand kept me so warm. I did it takeout style late on a weekend night so there was no line and I got it immediately. There are tables to sit at but I came closer to closing so they weren't available. Do try this place when you're in the area!! And don't get it confused for the other Angelina bakery in the city!

A mirage of Paris in the center of Midtown and a stone's throw away from Times Square! This US location evokes the feel of the original in Paris thanks to the similar decor, but without as much of the line. Overall, we felt that it did a good job of retaining the flavor of the original, but did not quite equal it. Regardless, it is still fantastic and we recommend it to anybody who is curious to get a taste of the hype from across the pond without the plane ticket. We ordered the hot chocolate with cream to go, and a rose macaron. The hot chocolate did not taste as thick and the cream was not as light and flavorful as the original in Paris, but it was still delicious - if we were not directly comparing, it would definitely still be a strong cup. We recommend a small size as the drink is crazy thick and filling; I was not able to finish the medium size. We were pleasantly surprised by the macaron and found it to be similar in quality to La Durée. Service here is excellent. We came in around 1pm on a Friday and we were second in line at the takeout counter. We were surprised by how much more expensive the souvenir/take-home boxes of hot chocolate are - $40 for 350g?? In Paris, it was about half the price, and larger boxes were available. While this killed the purchase for us, we can confidently say that the take-home hot chocolate is excellent and very similar in quality to what you get in person so it's up to you whether you want to still buy it for yourself or as a souvenir.

I've had the original Angelina Paris hot chocolate before, so when I got to NYC and realized there was an Angelina here, I knew I had to visit probably more than once. The café is right next to Bryant Park, just a short and easy walk. The line wasn't too bad; I waited about 10 minutes, and the service was impressively quick. I ordered their famous hot chocolate, and as expected, it was incredibly rich and decadent. That said, I did find it a bit sweeter compared to the version in Paris. Still, it was such a treat, and I really enjoyed it! I also ended up buying their hot chocolate kit, though I haven't tried it yet. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a cup , it's worth it. Just a heads-up, though: it's $8.50 for a small hot chocolate, but hey, that's NYC for you!

Came here as it was recommended for a Paris bakery feel. We really wanted to try their signature hot chocolate and it did not miss. I generally don't like hot chocolate but I would definitely have this one again as it was rich but not too over the top. 10/10 would recommend to try the hot chocolate, but the only reason this was a 4 star for me was the price! The food is really expensive and the hot chocolate was $14.

My dad and I got lucky with not having to wait for a table on a busy sunday afternoon- However when leaving I noticed the line for a table and takeout were both very long! So consider the wait. The hot chocolate was delicious, overpriced but worth trying. The macaroons were so cute and also delicious. My favorite flavor/ were lemon and dark chocolate! The Croissant was soft and buttery, yet had a nice crunch- also worth it. Overall, loved the atmosphere, food, and the service was great (even the bathroom was clean)

Came here for a grab and go cup of hot chocolate. Originally wanted to dine in and get it served in the mug as in other reviews but had no time. Hot chocolate is very rich here. Literally tastes like melted unsalted chocolate bars. Ordered the medium cup of hot chocolate for $9 and same exact cup for dine in would be $13 but served in the nice mugs. Nice, quaint place to sit down and chat with friends.
